Oversea exhibition in Hong Kong

Oversea exhibition in Hong Kong

From November 15th to 17th, 2023, we exhibited at the "COSMOPROF ASIA HONG KONG"

Many people visited our booth, making it a great opportunity to introduce [Taoyame] to Hong Kong!

Exhibition conditions and events

Despite being overwhelmed by the large-scale event, it was an exciting three days meeting people from around the world

Despite our limited English and Chinese skills, we made an effort to engage visitors with phrases like "Ni Hao!", "Pack Cream!", and "Hello!" This proactive approach successfully drew many people to our booth. We even had some visitors return on both days, demonstrating their genuine interest 👀

We received a lot of feedback from people, and we are looking forward to seeing how "Tayome" spreads ✨Additionally, a Korean YouTuber visited us for an interview and featured our pack cream 🎤 With Korean cosmetics gaining so much attention, it was wonderful to have our Japanese products showcased ✨

On the final day, there was a crowd for an hour during the closing time, which make us realize the strong interest in our products 🙌

Customer reaction to our product

At the exhibition, we showcased the Nadehada Pack Cream, Hitofutami, and our latest Cream and Gel products.

Customers tried the Nadehada Pack Cream and Cream and Gel product, while we highlight their unique ingredients. Many were particularly amazed by the noticeable difference in their skin after trying the Nadehada Pack Cream.

Challenge faced

Although we had an interpreter, we still have to rely on translation app many times due to time constraints. Even so, the feeling of language barrier is clearer than ever when the communication didn't go smoothly. The fact that Chinese includes both Mandarin and Cantonese might have contributed to the interpretation confusion.

On-site, we had to start by finding a print shop, which was quite a challenge. Unlike in Japan, convenience stores here don’t have copy machines, making us truly appreciate the convenience back home.

Additionally, the time allowed for moving out our belongings was limited, so we had to rush to pack up and transport everything in a hurry!

Booth Setup

The booth was designed with a Japanese theme, featuring cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. Of course, the star of the show was our pack cream symbol, Pakko-chan! ❗️

For the first time, we had Pakkoko-chan printed on balloons and a tapestry. The large Pakkoko-chan on the tapestry turned out to be even more impressive than we imagined. As you can see from the photos, we were able to create a bright and fun atmosphere.

Outfit of the day

We wore different designs of yukata paired with sparkling berets while working at the booth. It seems that yukata and kimono really stand out overseas—just like in Thailand, many people wanted to take photos with us this time too! ❗️

Eventhough, It was hard to serve customers for long time while putting on yukata but we are glad we did it😊

Summary

Despite the various challenges, the exhibition turned out to be incredibly valuable. It was a precious experience not only for those visiting abroad for the first time but also for those who had been overseas before.

Thanks to this exhibition, we are aware of improving language support along with boosting PR in the future. Which country will be next? Stay tuned to the blog to find out!🤲
